Consider how to save time, energy and money by redesigning your home and garden, lifestyle and livelihood.
Tour the farm. Share in a potluck meal. View new permaculture media. Have fun with a conscious group of like minded people.
Matt Gravel is a Victoria-based permaculturalist with a passion for sustainable and living systems. After 10 years of property maintenance and conventional landscaping, he became tired of the unsustainable and non-regenerative practices commonly used in urban environments and wanted to find a way to change these urban spaces. He has been studying permaculture since 2012. He completed his Permaculture Design Certificate through Langara College in Vancouver, BC and his Advanced Permaculture Design Certification at the Bullock’s Permaculture Homestead on Orcas Island, WA. Currently, he is working towards a diploma in permaculture education through the Permaculture Institute. Gravel operates a nursery, design, and education business—Plant Buoy: Life Preservation Plants. He is thrilled to be teaching people about low maintenance, ecological systems that grow nutrient dense food and medicine while regenerating urban landscapes.
Nick Adamson-Jones has spent most of his adult life learning about the challenges humanity now faces, and more importantly the solutions that exist to tackle the problems. Stepping into the role of home homesteading land steward, he now spends his time trying to figure out how to develop the land in ways that support both people and the biosphere.
Delvin Solkinson is community gardener and plant poet dedicated to bringing creativity to the permaculture movement by creating free open source learning and teaching tools. He has completed a PDC, Diploma and Masters Degree with Bill Mollison and done advanced teacher trainings with Rosemary Morrow, Toby Hemenway, Larry Santoyo, Looby Macnamara, David Holmgren, Geoff Lawton, Patricia Michael, Robyn Francis, the Bullock Brothers, Tom Ward, Jude Hobbs, Scott Pittman, Michael Becker, Robin Wheeler, Starhawk, Robina McCurdy and Robin Clayfield. He is an accredited teacher through the Permaculture Research Institute (Australia), Permaculture Academy (UK) and a Field Mentor through the Permaculture Institute (USA). Recently he completed a PDC in Portland with Toby Hemenway, one in Greece with Rosemary Morrow and a second Diploma through the Permaculture Institute. Currently he is doing graduate work under the mentorship of Larry Santoyo and Looby Macnamara.
